News, reviews, tips and guides for the biggest and best gamesActivision has been accused of plagiarizing a fan's work on the new Warzone Floof Fury skin after the artist pointed out striking similarities between the two.Like every other battle royale on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone has entered the cosmetic market with an abundance of skins for weapons, characters, vehicles, and many other paid add-ons.Many of these skins are from Activision, and a few are the result of crossovers with other popular franchises, however a new skin is making waves. The Floof Fury skin, which was revealed alongside the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, was brought to light by an artist who created a similar design over two years ago.The artist in question, Saillin, pointed out the similarities between Warzone's new skin and their concept Samoye Medical which was posted on ArtStation in December 2019. Obviously, the most obvious comparison between the two is the fact that the skin takes the shape of a dog, but there are others too.As the artist points out, the CoD cosmetic has a gun attached to the character's back, just like theirs, as well as a scarf around his neck and a satchel on his hip, all in a similar design and color scheme. ."Even though I'm a CoD player, I'm very disappointed to see my work plagiarized in this way by a big company like Activision," the artist tweeted, noting that he had contacted Call of Duty editors to obtain some answers.I have to explain this matter, COD Vanguard Samoye skin plagiarism.https://t.co/ltHTSNhEtf #CallofDutyVanguard #COD #Vanguard @Activision pic.twitter.com/OD2M4WNUmsMany Warzone fans sympathized with the artist and asked Activision to fix things. However, some have suggested that the cosmetics should not be released at all.As of this writing, the artist has not given any news on the situation and it remains to be seen what the developers will do.
